No dedicated ice-maker codes — it uses the fridge’s family
Because Samsung doesn’t publish an ice-maker-specific code set, any digital diagnostic message you see traces back to the shared refrigerator/freezer control-board codes: 8E or 14E for the ice-maker sensor, 33E for the ice pipe heater that prevents the supply line from freezing shut, and 39E for a general ice-maker function problem. These components are generally accessible without opening the sealed refrigerant system, which keeps them on the more affordable end of appliance repair compared to compressor work.
Water supply issues versus mechanical failure

Some ice-maker problems are effectively self-inflicted and cheap to correct once spotted — a water line valve that was never fully opened during a fridge install, or a filter that’s years overdue for replacement.
