Samsung Microwave Repair Details

Samsung’s ME, MC, and MS series microwaves, from countertop units to over-the-range and Bespoke built-in models, run their own MICOM control system separate from the cooking range line, but the code format will look familiar if you’ve used a Samsung range. When the display flashes a C-code or an E-code instead of the time, we test the specific sensor or switch it points to.

Microwave problems we diagnose

We regularly diagnose C-10, C-11, and C-12 gas or humidity sensor failures, and C-20 through C-22 temperature sensor errors. Door and keypad problems show as C-d0, C-d1, or C-d2, and board communication problems appear as C-F0, C-F1, or C-F2. On the E-code side, E-11 through E-14 point to gas sensor failures, E-21 through E-26 to temperature sensor issues, and E-31 through E-36 to weight or door sensor problems. E-81 through E-83 indicate communication problems, -SE- signals a shorted key, and TE points to a touch-communication error. On over-the-range models, we also check the vent fan and turntable motor when a unit powers on but doesn’t heat or won’t cycle properly, since those symptoms don’t always trigger a coded problem.

What we do on-site

  • Confirm the exact code on the display and match it to the specific sensor, switch, or board it references
  • Test the door interlock switches, magnetron circuit, or sensor assembly directly, since microwave repairs involve high-voltage components that require careful diagnosis
  • Quote the repair once the failed part is confirmed, before ordering anything
  • Install genuine OEM Samsung parts and stand behind the labor

Over-the-range units carry an added layer of complexity since the built-in vent fan and light assembly share space with the cooking components above, so a “no light, no fan” complaint gets diagnosed separately from any heating problem. Built-in Bespoke microwaves mounted at counter height sometimes develop door-spring or hinge wear from frequent use, which can trip a door-related code even though the electronics themselves are fine. Sparking inside the cavity is a safety issue we address immediately, usually tracing back to a damaged waveguide cover or metal debris rather than the magnetron itself.

Look up your specific code in our Samsung microwave error code guide. Our repair guides section also covers door-seal and turntable maintenance that prevents several of these problems from recurring.
