We routinely see dC, dE, dF, and do codes tied to the door switch or latch mechanism, tS, tO, and tE thermistor failures, HC and hE overheat conditions (often caused by lint-packed venting rather than a failed part), bE and 6E stuck-button or control-panel errors, and AC, AE, or Et communication problems between boards. We also troubleshoot AC-line issues showing as FC or FE, 9C1, 9E1, and 2E voltage-related codes, and 3C motor failures. When a dryer simply runs but never gets hot, we test the vent path directly rather than assuming the heating element is responsible.
What a diagnostic visit actually involves
- Reproduce the error code or symptom and pull any stored error history from the control board
- Test the specific part the code points to — door switch, thermal fuse, drive motor, or control board — with a meter, not a guess
- Check vent airflow and lint buildup, since restricted venting causes many “no-heat” and overheat complaints
- Quote the repair once the failed component is confirmed, then complete it with genuine OEM parts and a labor warranty
Beyond electrical problems, dryer drums are subject to real wear — rollers, belts, and idler pulleys eventually squeal or seize, producing a thumping or squealing noise that has nothing to do with any of the codes above. We check the drum support system on any visit where a customer reports noise rather than a display error, since replacing a control board won’t fix a worn roller. On Bespoke models with steam-refresh cycles, we also verify the steam generator and water line separately from the standard heating circuit, since a “no heat” complaint on those units can originate from either system.
