Samsung dishwasher error codes (4C, 5C, 7C, 9C, LC)

Samsung dishwashers on the DW80 platform show a two-character code tied to water flow or a specific component. 4C or 4E flags the water supply — confirm the shutoff valve is fully open and the inlet hose is not kinked. 5C or 5E flags a drain problem, usually a clogged filter, a blocked air gap, or a disposal knockout plug left in place. 7C is specific to WaterWall models and points at the reflector bar that steers the wash spray. 9C means too little water is detected to start a cycle. LC or LE flag a suspected leak and can trip the base-pan float and a safety shutdown. 1E points at the filter or heater circuit, 3C at the circulation pump, bE at a stuck button, and HC at an over-temperature condition. Power-cycle and clean the filter for a supply or drain code; a leak, pump, or reflector code that persists narrows the subsystem but still needs a hands-on check to confirm which part — a valve, pump, sensor, or reflector motor — has actually failed. See the error codes library, then book dishwasher repair.
